Low-expansion foam generators operate with a pre-mix feed. The foam nozzle converts the supply pressure into speed with the air suction function which vigorously agitates to produce the foam sprayed from a distance.

POK® builds a wide range of monitors. Originally these devices were intended to use pressures and flows beyond the range of portable equipment, whether by one or more firefighters.

April 2nd, 2019 – Wrenches

The security services are responsible for all wrenches intended to access the opening of doorways, cabinet doors, manholes and the tightening and loosening of couplings , as well as hydrants and fire hydrants.  Concerning the wrenches used to tighten the couplings, POK® manufactures a wide range of them, which in general have the particularity of being made out of a non-sparking material such as copper-aluminium and aluminium alloy.

March 4th, 2019 – Dividers

POK® manufactures valve dividers. These devices are used to supply several lines of attack from a single pump. Valves are used either to disconnect the power supply to an appliance or to replace it during operation with more appropriate equipment.

February 18th, 2019 – Towable monitors

In the 1990s, portable monitors had a maximum capacity of 3000 liters per minute. To exceed this flow rate, it was necessary to use towable monitors.

February 4th, 2019 – Mobile foam units

POK® created its first mobile foam unit as part of a fire equipment order in 1982. This equipment is used to protect factories, petroleum deposits, and high-risk installations. It involves a minimum training of the staff in fire attack department.

January 21rst, 2019 – Around the pump injector

The British designation is more meaningful: “injector around the pump”.

It is an ingenious mechanism in the way that the premixing takes place without loss of pressure, which makes it possible to supply a foam branchpipe at a long distance from the emulsifier container.

Optimised according to the percentage of aspirated product, its viscosity and the duration of the operation, there are several techniques for proportionally mixing various liquids.

At the end of 2017, the entire team of the French sales department of POK® carried out a titanic work in order to present the best possible offer to the UGAP call for tenders concerning 4 lots of fire equipment.

March 5th, 2018 – Foam equipments

POK® designs and manufactures foam equipment to extinguish class A and B fires by smothering and cooling. Foam can extinguish flames by reducing to zero any risk of restarting the flames, especially for liquid fires (class B fires).

The POK® electronic flowmeter is the result of a long experience in collaboration with our customers: the French Fire Brigades. Our flowmeter is made of anodized aluminum alloy with high strength polymer housing, unbreakable metal legs, with removable tungsten tips.

May 15th, 2017 – Recycling center and Fire Safety

POK® has been present in household waste incineration units for several years now, helping to fight fires in waste pits. Several MWIPs have already trusted POK: Fos-sur-Mer (13), Caudan 1 (56), Caudan 2 (56), Villefranche-sur-Saône (69), Perpignan (66) and more recently Montpellier (34) or Ludres (54) and others to come in Échillais (17).

May 9th, 2017 – POK Robot

For 5 months now, the POK® Product development department has been developing a fire fighting robot for the Chinese market. Creating a robot is not easy. The constraints are multiple and the crossing of several fields of engineering (mechanical, electrical, computer…) complicates the work. However, it is a challenge that our Product development department has taken up and is on its way to success.

May 2nd, 2017 – Piercing nozzle

The piercing nozzle, a POK® product, is designed to access and extinguish fires in closed rooms. This is a very useful tool for the Fire Brigade in particular when they face fires that they do not visualize in premises, where the creation of a draft would be particularly dangerous.

After launching its MINI remote control on the market, POK® now offers its first remote control of the “button box” type.
